Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "OccideFascists", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because your username seems to represent a group, and fascists are not welcome here. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. I think you need to translate the name from Latin. OccideFascists (talk) 18:13, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"Kill it Fascists"? Still not convinced this is an acceptable username. PhilKnight (talk) 18:55, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"Kill the Fascists" OccideFascists (talk) 19:10, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
WP:ATTACKNAME.
Usernames that are blatantly profane, violent, threatening, or sexually explicit, or that advocate or encourage any such behavior (including acts that are deemed by most societies as either extremely immoral, criminal, or illegal).
Still not acceptable. Kleuske (talk) 19:13, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
you just said fascists weren't welcome here, whos gonna complain? OccideFascists (talk) 19:14, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think it would be better if you changed your username. If you do not, I will open a discussion at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names. PhilKnight (talk) 19:20, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We are not them. Kleuske (talk) 19:43, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And a bit more explicit: if you think calling for violence is an acceptable part of political discourse, you're no better than the fascists you decry. Kleuske (talk) 19:47, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, OccideFascists. Concerns have been raised that your username may be incompatible with policy. You can contribute to the discussion about it at the page for requests for comment on usernames. Alternatively, if you agree that your username may be problematic and are willing to change it, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name. Simply request a new name at Wikipedia:Changing username following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. How did we beat them before? Was it discussion, diplomacy? No, the only way to deal with fascists is to kill them. I cant think of any other way historically that works. OccideFascists (talk) 19:55, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is clear you do not want to change your username. I will wait for the Request for Comment to conclude. PhilKnight (talk) 20:02, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

August 2023[edit]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, OccideFascists, does not comply with Wikipedia's username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy, which is summarized below.
Under Wikipedia's username policy, a username should represent an individual person. It should not: represent a group or organization; be promotional; be misleading (such as indicating possession of special user rights, being a "bot" account - unless approved, or implying that the account has any administrative or "moderator" user rights, or any kind of "power" or "authority" over other users); nor be offensive or otherwise disruptive. However, a username that contains the name of an organization and also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company" or "Mark at WidgetsUSA" is allowed, but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company". Among others, the guidance on conflict of interest and the policy on paid-contribution disclosure are relevant.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If your username is not in violation of Wikipedia's username policy, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
