Oje-owode- formerly called Aha: It is a town in Saki East Local Government Oyo State, Nigeria. The town is one of the principal towns in Saki East Local Government with 2 political wards. The town has two major markets called Owode market and Oja-Oba Market.
POLITICAL BACKGROUND
Oje owode is believed to be the political capital of Saki East Local Government. The town produced the first executive chairman of the local government in 1999 and has produced 6 local government chairmen since the invent of democracy in 1999; a figure which counts the highest ever in the history of the local government. The town has also produced a two terms honorable member of house of representative, Abuja between 2007 to 2015 and also a member of the state house of assembly between 2003 to 2007.
