Hello Grace, I love your article edits. There is a lot of potential here. I did find one thing that might help smooth out your writing.
"The most familiar example of moulting in reptiles is when snakes "shed their skin". This is usually achieved by the snake rubbing its head against a hard object, such as a rock (or between two rocks) or piece of wood, causing the already stretched skin to split."
Where you say Usually is there another way that snakes perform this task? I also think you may have misspelled molting above. But overall great work and it was really interesting to read your writing.

[edit]Grace, I find the addition of your reason as to why you wanted to edit the specific snake section useful to know because it allows me to see into your thought process for your edit proposals. Each edit that you propose feels neutral, and you make sure to mention where specifically in the section you plan to add your information. The citations you have are also correctly cited and are mentioned in your edits which makes it easy to know where you are using your references. General Notes Overall, you're sandbox is really well developed and nicely organized by weekly sections and your citations are done well, though for the purpose of making edits to one or more pages, I would suggest creating separate sandboxes for each page you plan to make edits to, just to avoid confusion with any work done earlier in the semester - there was a bit of initial confusion over exactly which page(s) you're proposing edits for.
Edit Proposal 1 • Where in the initial statement do you plan to add your two lines of commentary? Or did you already add your two lines to the initial statement? If so, can you just specify which parts were there previously, and which are your personal additions?
• This should probably be included in the snake page as you suggested, though it could potentially also be added to the subsection titled "Reproduction" (5.7). If you do make this choice, I'd suggest including only a brief description of how the molting process relates to reproductive behavior.
Edit Proposal 2 • How is molting for snakes different for other species? Do other animals / insects that molt shed more / less of the top layer of skin, or somehow do so in a different manner?
• Any ideas on where to look for said additional sources? I'm sure there have to be scientific journals out there that focalize around anatomy and physiology. Dr. Schutz also has quite a few books other than our text and lab guide that provide more in depth explanations surrounding growth and development. I'd definitely ask her if she has any suggestions, and to take a look at them in the case she does, potentially using the info. and diagrams as basis for what to look for and/or include.
- Personally, I usually think the "why" comes after the "how" - to fully understand the cause or reasoning behind something, don't you first at least need to have some understanding of it's relative components, interactions, and/or underlying mechanisms (which make up the "how") before you can make any predictions about the factors influencing / driving them? Let me know if this doesn't make sense and I can provide an example.
