Our policies

[edit]

Hi, I have reverted many of your edits to Daniel Rodriguez, as they don't fit with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. There is a list of key policies right above this note, and I'd like for you to have a look at them before you edit that article further. Wikipedia articles need to be impartial, properly verified using reliable sources, and to avoid sounding like press releases. Mr. Rodriguez is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, but let's write an article that abides by the rules, rather than one that sounds like it came from his PR firm. | Mr. Darcy talk 15:33, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok as I'm trying to learn, I don't understand much of the language the rules are written in, so I compare other pages that appearantly have been left as is. I see the page for Mario Frangoulis. This is full of totally unverified opinions and more. If you permit that kind of writing, I cannot understand why you are do determined to remove so much from this site, that seems to be verified. Operadog 16:00, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's not a standard; we don't say, "well, this article is lousy, so other lousy articles can stay, too." Each article is assessed on its own merits. On another note, have a look at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, as I get the impression that you have a personal or professional connection to Mr. Rodriguez, the Chelsea Opera Company, or both. | Mr. Darcy talk 16:55, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My connection to them is that I am a supporter and attend their events as well as many other performers. I feelt they deserve a page on this site, but if you do not want to work with me, than what is the use. My personal interest and my identitly is private, also should not be an issue here. I could ask the same of some of the deletions that are clearly fact and verified by media articles. Operadog 17:04, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you're editing under multiple usernames, please stop. This is forbidden under our policies and may result in having all of your accounts blocked. | Mr. Darcy talk 22:33, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am not, but I have a large family who all are using my computer and posting on this site.. Is this against the law? Give us a break. Operadog 22:36, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you're all editing the same articles and are posing as distinct editors to create the illusion of consensus, then yes, it's against Wikipedia policy. And it's clear to me that you're doing this. Please stop. | Mr. Darcy talk 23:47, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I posted on the Article discussion page. to ask why you removed my paragraph that includes informatoin about his Capitol hilll performances, including his National Repulican performance. This is of interest to people. This certainly is not written in a PR style. This material has every right to be included in this page on this site. if you have a personal problem with the subject of this article, I would like to know. Why you delete this.
