Hello, I'm Biker Biker. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Bun Rany, but you didn't provide a reliable source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Biker Biker (talk) 08:42, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Biker Biker. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. You must use very strong references if you are adding controversial material. Community Audio does not look like a reliable source Biker Biker (talk) 08:43, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Orangedragontravelsdotcom. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may need to consider our guidance on conflicts of interest.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Please do not use your own website on Wikipedia Biker Biker (talk) 08:44, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 09:01, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will probably not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Requested username:

Request reason:

i created the account for the purpose of trying to publicize information that was being suppressed via other avenues. specifically in regards to the article i was editing. apparently a video of the person saying it doesn't qualify unless it's the original, which is amusing as goons of the person in question threatened the original publisher with harm if they didn't take it down. i'd like to continue my search to find some original and qualifying evidence so that a persons position doesn't allow them to just commit murder/harm whenever they feel like it without the rest of the world knowing about it. The reason i had referenced my own website was because i could only find google cache of the articles talking about it after gov't pressures had them taken down (or in the case of one local newspaper, shut down entirely) so i copied the content there in hopes it would be preserved. i have since removed that as my wife fears it could lead to danger to our lives, despite the fact there should be no way for them to connect me here with the site.

Decline reason:

You need to pick an actual username, as it'll be what represents you on this website henceforth. If you make a rename request with that, there are some bureaucrats who will interpret that literally and rename you to User:Whateveryouwantifthisistheissue, which I'm guessing is not what you want (yes, it's happened). As to the rest of your appeal, Wikipedia requires reliable secondary sources for all content - in short, Wikipedia should never be the only place you can find any particular bit of information. I would also very very strongly recommend you read our policy on biographies on living people, as the requirement for referencing information applies even more strictly to those articles, and it sounds as though your intentions here are not compatible with that policy.
