Your IP address

[edit]

Greetings; I saw your note on User talk:221.133.204.4. Wikipedia vandals are still operating from your IP address. Is your wireless router configured for secure authentication and encryption? If not, you really should try to lock it down. I was using standard WEP on mine, but because I've read it's too easily hacked, I recently changed over to WPA-PSK with TKIP. It seems to work great and doesn't require any more configuration than WEP did. If it's not one of your neighbors on your wi-fi and someone's instead doing something more sneaky to masquerade their IP address as yours, maybe there's something your ISP can do to help. —mjb (talk) 20:07, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

it's not just my IP I found out later that my IP is actually masked by my IP so it's shared by more people (my specific IP is a 192.somthing I'm not being distrust full I just cant remember it) I'm also putting a copy of tis message on my IP address' user talk page as well just to make sure it's seen
