I Need help[edit]

My friend User:512theking needs to know how to create road maps on wiki articles. - User:Pahighways

Well you need to have already made up the roadmap in the first place - more likely, using an Image editor such as GIMP. Let's take I-476 as an example; the article for I-476 is Interstate 476. To add the image of the road to the article, you need to click "edit this page" (at the top), and insert the text ; insert the image name in place of IMAGE NAME, "left", "right" or "centre" in place of x and the size you want the image to appear as in place of y (eg 50 px, 150 px, 400 px).
However, you need to upload the file first; well, that's easy - see that bar at the left hand side of Wikipedia? Click (in the toolbox) "upload file" and follow the links; so if you uploaded the map to Wikipedia you would call it, for example, Interstate_476_map.jpg and a link to that would be .
If you need more help, please go to my talk page.

You don't need to start a new header for replies - just indent them using ":" (the colon). For example:

How's the soup? --Bob
:It's great!! --Lisa
::Not too bad.. --George
:::I made it myself! --Bob
I think the soup-discussion should be moved to Talk:Soup.. --Lisa
:I tend to disagree. --George

The above will produce this:

How's the soup? --Bob

It's great!! --Lisa
Not too bad.. --George
I made it myself! --Bob

I think the soup-discussion should be moved to Talk:Soup.. --Lisa

I tend to disagree. --George
Lastly, please sign comments you make using the "four tildes" (~~~~) which will produce your signature plus the timestamp which enables other editors to see when you left the comment.
Cheers! Anthonycfc [TC] 00:36, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
