Citation for assignment[edit]

Q: Hi Patrick, I remember hearing in class that writing on wikipedia doesn't require primary sources. I am not 100% sure if I remember that correctly. Please let me know what the appropriate sources are, can't seem to find it [[1]]

A: Hi Nana, there is no specific ban on using primary sources, but they should be based on secondary sources. The main thing is no original research. Use the following page as a guide: Wikipedia:No Original Research Patrick.wade (talk) 15:17, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alright thanks! Nana Afia Acquah (talk) 16:29, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A: Yup, you can definitely introduce new subheadings. Patrick.wade (talk) 00:15, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Q: Hello Patrick, I was just wondering how do you cite page numbers from a source I reference more than once in my page? Thanks! sasoura74 (talk) 14:06, 11, August 2014 (UTC)

A: Check through Wikipedia's reference guide, but I don't believe you need to cite specific pages in Wikipedia. Patrick.wade (talk) 00:15, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I did and it showed me how to do it so I added page numbers hope that's okay! sasoura74 (talk) 20:56, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
