Welcome!

Hello, PaulLouisDavis, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I see you may be a New Zealander (or at least, appear to be by your edits). There are several NZ related Wikipedia pages.

Adding {{User New Zealand}} to your userpage will list you as a New Zealander.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

In reply to your edit summary in Nelson, New Zealand, we don't normally link directly to external sites in the body of the article, unless as a reference (and then it's preferred to use the "ref" mechanism to add the external link to the end of the article). Nelson Tasman Tourism is linked to at the bottom of the article, under "External links"; it doesn't need to also be linked in the body of the article. I see you also wikilinked it by enclosing it with square brackets, which would normally indicate that you consider the name worthy of a separate article. Since you're not very familiar with Wikipedia, that may have been a mistake.

I see that most of your edits here have been in connection with Nelson Tasman Tourism. If you have a connection to that organisation, you should read our Conflict of interest policies.

In your edits to South Island, you link repeatedly to this website, but not to any other. This seems inappropriate.-gadfium 04:30, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
