Cylonagen, your edit of 22:22 21 Aug 2009 deleted a paragraph of recent FDIC balance sheet information. The Saxo Bank Research pdf citation link was broken subsequent to my 20 Aug 2009 edit, but is still available in HTML, to which I have adjusted the footnote. There is significant discussion on financial sites about what happens when the FDIC reserves are exhausted, and I think a mention of the surrounding facts is relevant for this page.
