Shim/Shirm

[edit]

Hi, Pencilcasegirl, and first of all:

Welcome!

Hello, Pencilcasegirl, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Now, about Nick Shim/Nick Shirm. I've been following your conversation with ForestH2 (talk · contribs). The BBC confirmed here that the actor playing Zacharias Smith is called Nick Shim. You claim that you go to school with him, and that his name is Nick Shirm. While I believe you, I'm afraid that by WP:V, you as a source cannot even remotely compare to the BBC. Names of actors in the HP movies have been known to be misspelled before (see Scot Fearn) as well as confused with other minor actors (see the notes at Marcus Flint and Adrian Pucey and others at Minor Slytherins). Until this error is corrected by WB or the BBC, I'm afraid we're going to have to leave it at Nick Shim. Thanks for your insight on this and I'm sorry I don't have a better answer. --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 04:58, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I completely understand, and I hope you do too. Hopefully it will be corrected sooner than later. If you see Nick at all, maybe you could ask him to give Warner Bros. a heads-up. :-) --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 07:06, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
