Zhang Zhehan[edit]

Pertains2 - OnCamera indicated that I could edit within the bounds of certain source materials being allowable. I posted a lengthy message on the talk page for OnCamera explaining my edits and, as suggested, edited in the hopes of mitigating some of the issues. The article as written is attempting to accuse another person of potentially actionable activities, which is potentially grounds for taking the page down, and I don't want that to happen. I had previously only made one minor word change some months ago to this article to help clear up some facts. I apologize for being somewhat of a novice and, after my initial editing errors, further reviewed the site policy and attempted to do better with my explanations. I appreciate your understanding as I navigate this space.

I asked that I be engaged in conversation before my changes were reverted and I am disappointed that request was ignored. I am happy to discuss how you feel I am pushing a conspiracy theory. If this page is to be protected, I ask that it be protected in the state it was prior to the June 28th material that is causing the issue until we can discuss the appropriate way for the information to be described. I don't do this often, so I'm not sure next steps, but if we need to notice this up for dispute resolution, I am happy to take that step. I am concerned that so many anonymous users have taken to making first time edits to this page within the space of less than two days. KeepingTabs (talk) 05:59, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I recognize what you are insinuating when you comment about "anonymous users" making "first time edits" to this page. If you mean to claim that you are not a proponent of a conspiracy theory, this is not exactly helping your case.
Your own account was registered recently. The only contributions you have made to Wikipedia outside your edits to Zhang Zhehan's page are to Gong Jun's page. The pattern of your edits to Zhang's page reflects a consistent agenda: you are attempting to erase any mention of the accusations Zhang has made towards Gong, despite the fact that these accusations are now well documented in several secondary media sources. After being informed by a veteran Wikipedia editor that Zhang's public statements are in fact relevant and the sources reporting them are indeed reputable, you are now engaging in damage control by attempting to soften the language describing the accusations against Gong and removing his name from the article. You have even manipulated the language reporting the deepfake theories to imply that this is a widely held belief, and not a conspiracy theory supported by only a small subsector of the actor's fandom who are primarily motivated by the belief that Zhang is in a romantic relationship with Gong.
The motivation behind your persistent edit warring here is readily evident to observers. I suggest you give it a rest. Pertains2 (talk) 06:24, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
