Short descriptions[edit]

You have changed the short description of many articles. In all cases that I have seen, you have been reverted, either because you do not respect the guidelines of WP:Short description or because your short description is wrong or does not correspond to the content of the article.

So, please, read WP:Short description carefully, and edit short descriptions only if the result respects better the guidelines and the content of the article. In particular, edit only articles whose you master the content.

Reviewing your edits is time consuming for other editors. So, if you continue to make such unconstructive edits, this will be WP:disruptive editing and could lead to an edit block. D.Lazard (talk) 10:36, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@D.Lazard content matters more than short descriptions.i try to make my edits comprehensible even if there long. Phantom nale (talk) 15:24, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Content matters are for the body of the article. Short description are here only for helping readers to decide if the article is what they are searching. So, mathematical accuracy and technical details are definitively not useful in short descriptions. Also, on many smartphones only the 40 first characters of the short description are displayed. Again, read WP:Short description for understanding what is acceptable on Wikipedia. D.Lazard (talk) 18:46, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
