Tanner Krolle pointers
[edit]I see you've been working on this to try to create a neutral article, and I won't comment on the fact that you're probably an interested party somehow. However, article needs to establish why the company is notable, and also needs an introduction paragraph. Rob Sinden (talk) 14:00, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi Rob. I was recently in London and purchased a Tanner Krolle bag. I wanted to show my friend and tell them about the brand, but was curious why no page existed on Wikipedia (since I use it all the time for references). Anyway, even though I'm American, I found this company interesting because the brand is a British Icon on the levels of Asprey, Dunhill, and Swaine Adeney Briggs (I just had a look through some of the previous customers while I was there and my Brit friends all know it). Anyway, I thought it was a great opportunity to write a Wikipedia article and I tried to use the Asprey one as an example. Granted, it's my first, so I really appreciate your comments about the sourcing. Given I'm new at this, yes, I'm trying to write something neutral. Would you please help me in explaining (1) What additional sources I should be going after (I thought Forbes, Women's Wear Daily (for fashion) and the London Times (local) would be sufficient enough (I specifically avoided using their company website as a reference). Also (2) you please explain more about the introduction paragraph? (3) How best to explain notability in a non-biased way? Really appreciate your help!
