Place holder is an account created to be used when you intend to replace the user name with an actual user later. It also serves in ranked lists of Wikipedians to hold the place of those who do not wish to be listed by name, without invalidating the rankings.
User:Example is a similar account created to be used in examples where you don't want to name a particular user.

I see that someone else has contested the speedy deletion and removed the tag, but I would have if they hadn't, and the deletion would have been rejected by the responding admin if it had stayed. This page is about as far from meeting section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion as is possible. Perhaps Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi / Muffled got confused by the now-blocked editor who tried using this page as a webhost and was quickly reverted? --Guy Macon (talk) 17:32, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
