- go to your talk page, and click on the edit button;
- "create" a new link to a new sub-page (e.g. User talk:Plutonix/this is a new link to a new sub-page);
- save the edit;
- hold down the shift key with left hand and, at the same time, mouse click on the newly created red link with your right hand;
- (This should open a new browser window with a page saying something like "you are creating a new page");
- arrange the two browser windows side by side;
- click on the edit button on your talk page;
- cut from the older page and paste into the new page;
- when finished, save both.
