Welcome

[edit]

Hi, there, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you had submitted edit requests on Talk:Gadi Eizenkot, Talk:Iran–Israel proxy conflict, and Talk:List of Israel Defense Forces operations as well as editing here and here. It appears to me, based on your username, that you have an apparent conflict of interest with the source you are adding. Conflict of interest editing is discouraged, and paid editing without proper disclosure is forbidden. You are trying to add this article which you may have written. Citing yourself is allowed within reason, but adding references to yourself and none others is frowned upon.

I am willing to add your source, but I am not able to access it in order to verify it. I assume that you have the resource, so could you please email me to get that started?

I also notice that your username is not allowed under the username policy that suggests that this account is not representative of you as an individual person. You can request your name change here.

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. SWinxy (talk) 00:12, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the reply. This link should allow access to the full article. In all these cases I did not make extensive edits, that I agree would have required more resources. My intension is only to enrich relevant topics with academid peer-reviewed resources. The linked article is the only published academic account of the campaign between the wars (CBW). It shows Eizenkot's tenure was important to the formulation and evolution of CBW/IWC. It also points out main Israeli operations that were conducted under CBW/IWC, including the one in January 2013. This is my private and modest contribution to these topics.
Please let me know if you were not able to access the article.
Thanks for also advising me on my username. I appreciate it. PolSciTAU (talk) 06:30, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Aight. Getting access was easier than I'd thought. I'll read it and respond to the edit requests tonight. Thanks for the full article, btw! SWinxy (talk) 17:45, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
SWinxy: Per this edit request, I added the reference linked above in good faith to the Gadi Eizenkot article since there were no requested edits to the article text. That said, I just stumbled my way here and reviewed the proposed reference material using the limited share link provided. I didn't immediately see any red flags except for the fact that you may have already been down this road and chosen to leave this citation out. Am I missing anything here? --N8wilson 🔔 14:19, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, just got too busy. My apologies! SWinxy (talk) 18:24, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
