'Warning'

[edit]

First off, what I did on the talk page correct. Talk pages are not discussion forums and your post did nothing to relate to the article or improving it - rather, it was a rant pushing a fringe conspiracy theory. As said on the top of the page, any edits that do such can and will be removed. The fact that three separate editors have reverted you is ample evidence you are in the wrong here. In addition, you are edit warring to re-add it and if you revert again you will have broken the three revert rule and will likely receive a block for violating it. Also, you should read WP:Don't template the regulars - warning templates are designed you new editors and are of little real use to regular editors such as myself. "Talk pages are not discussion forums and your post did nothing to relate to the article or improving it - rather, it was a rant pushing a fringe conspiracy theory."
And how did yours? You imply that people who disagree with you are pseudoscientists? And the post I re-added was not mine?
"As said on the top of the page, any edits that do such can and will be removed."
Where exactly does it even say that? All I've seen is a warning about seemingly arbitrary "discretionary sanctions"?
"The fact that three separate editors have reverted you is ample evidence you are in the wrong here."
And I suppose the Jews were wrong when concentration camp guards outnumbered them?
"In addition, you are edit warring to re-add it and if you revert again you will have broken the three revert rule and will likely receive a block for violating it."
Quote from Wikipedia:Edit warring: "An edit war occurs when editors who disagree about the content of a page repeatedly override each other's contributions, rather than trying to resolve the disagreement by discussion. Edit warring is unconstructive and creates animosity between editors, making it harder to reach a consensus. Users who engage in edit wars risk being blocked or even banned. Note that an editor who repeatedly restores his or her preferred version is edit warring, whether or not his or her edits were justifiable: it is no defence to say "but my edits were right, so it wasn't edit warring"."
Strange, maybe I'm wrong, but this sounds just like you, doesn't it? Programs22 (talk) :02:12, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I made a total of one revert. You've made three. My response was to an edit made by an IP asking a question related to an article - the one I removed was a conspiracist rant that had nothing to do with article improvement, but instead with soapboxing by pushing a POV. As a side note, it is a bit offensive to compare me telling you that three editors here think you are in the wrong to the murder of roughly six million people. Incidentally, the Holocaust is rejected by many Truthers, many of who blame Israel/the Jews/Mossad for the attacks. Toa Nidhiki05 02:25, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to apologize to you. I was so irritated by your claim of certain people being pseudoscientists that I just felt a need to revert your deletion of that persons comment on the page without consideration of anything insulting that he said in response to you. And I normally suppress my views on the subject as I'm aware of how un-kosher it is, but I just was too passionate.
So I'm sorry to you. I did not intend to start some sort of "edit war", and I do not intend to oppose the normal viewpoint on the 9/11 events (I could but I'm too selfish to be an activist). This was something of a mistake on my part. And I now don't think you made any personal attacks, even if it seemed to me as though you did at the time. Creating any sort of dispute isn't my intention. Programs22 (talk) 06:59, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well I accept the apology. :) Toa Nidhiki05 15:09, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
