Request reason:

oki understand just dont see the reason to spend time writing an article that you guys are going to delete

Accept reason:

Unblocked. The deletion isn't for certain, if you can address the concerns. If it was for certain, I would have deleted it myself instead of just replacing the template. I see that you have been trying to add additional references. Specifically, what you need to do is to show that the school is notable and make the language neutral so as to not appear to be promoting the school. If you would like, I can move the article to your sandbox where you can edit it at your leisure without a threat of deletion making a false sense of urgency. Feel free to reply here if you would like me to do that. Syrthiss (talk) 15:24, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

does the page look much better now?

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mactech Distance Education, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. MikeWazowski (talk) 14:08, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for removal of speedy deletion templates on an article you created yourself despite warnings not to (disruptive editing).. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. If you will edit here and show understanding that the template is not to be removed by you, I will remove the block (or any other admin may, if I am away). Syrthiss (talk) 15:15, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I did not copy an paste from the college site. I looked at alot of other colleges in the area and all have similiar stuff. there have the schools courses on there and information about financing and information about the college. This College is the only Nationally Accredited College in Canada that is also ISO 9001:2008 Certified. This college sets the standard for distance education in Canada. I dont feel they are looking for a advertisiment they spend plenty on google i bet I see there adds alot. there website is of poor design and wanted to compile some information about the college for people to find. There is alot of colleges that are not accredited around canada that people get sucked into going and geting a piece of paper that is worthless in the end. NSCC is very similiar in design. and content.

I deleted the article as an advertisement, because it was an advertisement. Literally. You actually copied their marketing language from their web page, which was not only spam, but was also a copyright violation. If you do so again, you can be blocked indefinitely from Wikipedia. All editors are expected to be here to help expand the encyclopedia, not harm the encyclopedia by trying to spread a school's advertisement into article space. -- Atama 16:04, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, now you're just not telling the truth. What you had written in the article (the History section) was:
  • "Mactech Distance Education has been providing Quality Education for over 20 years, they believe that a quality education should be available to anyone who has the ability, desire, and ambition to improve their skills and performance for personal satisfaction and financial betterment. That is the premise on which Mactech was founded."'
What you can see on the school's site (linked above) is:
  • "Providing Quality Education for over 18 years, we believe that a quality education should be available to anyone who has the ability, desire, and ambition to improve their skills and performance for personal satisfaction and financial betterment. That is the premise on which Mactech was founded. And today, more than 18 years later, this philosophy continues."
There are only slight alterations from what is written on their site, which means your writing was plagiarism. Again, you cannot do that. I'm not against the school, I myself am an A+ and Network+ certified computer technician and a CompTIA IT Professional member and it's actually the kind of school I wouldn't mind attending. If you want to create an article about this school that merits inclusion in Wikipedia, one suggestion might be to make a request at WP:AFC and find someone to help you. Also, keep in mind you should sign your messages by leaving a ~~~~ at the end. -- Atama 19:14, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
