Wikilinks and apostrophes
[edit]Wikilinks, strangely, are semi-intelligent. If one writes [[Hemans']] then this will not link to any article entitled Hemans; but if one writes [[Hemans]]' then it does. This also works for (some?) plurals. Maybe for lots of other things. (I've fixed this on the article you edited earlier.)
I don't think we would ever write Hemans's ... when I was a (very) small boy I was harshly punished for entitling a piece of homework "James's fall" ... something to do with James II of England I suspect, though I remember my dismay at my error and the punishment far more vividly than I remember learning anything about James II at the time (so much for the effectiveness of teaching history by terror - maybe it worked for grammar though!) --Demiurge1000 (talk) 19:53, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
