Category:Special forces units and formations

[edit]

You appear to be deleting the Category:Special forces units and formations from articles. Can you check before deleting as most are in this Category. --Jim Sweeney (talk) 19:44, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorting articles into sub-categories as per WP:Category. No point having them in a category AND the sub-category. Please check, before interrupting. --Quasimodogeniti (talk) 19:46, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am currently blocked because I am considered a sockpuppet of User:Dodo19. That would be technically correct, as this is the equivalent to my German user account which I created 15 April 2007 after I had asked for my German user account Dodo19 to be blocked 28 Jan 2007. So when I had retired my English account after clashing with another user, I switched to my German user account Quasimodogeniti using it under the SUL feature. Actually, I would have said so, would I have been aware of this being a problem. But unfortunately I wasn't informed, although I have my email feature activated. After making a number of edits, I tried to stay clear of that particular user and concentrate on my main interest: Military History. In the meantime, I used the talk page of my retired account only to collect some diff-links. Since I noticed that the user I had clashed with changed his behaviour when he was aware of "adult supervision" and I figured he had my talk page on his watchlist that seemed to be a good idea at the time. The user in question obviously felt threatened by the mounting evidence of him misbehaving and raised the issue on the admins' noticeboard. The talkpage was subsequently deleted to which I do not object. I am aware that I might have caused mental distress to that said user which was not my intention. With this account I had two brief encounters with said user which were unproblematic, actually quite cordial, which suggests that the reason with our clash in August had something to do with my old user name. I recall having had a clash with a user with a similar profile back in 2006/7 which caused me to deactivate my German account. So, on second thought, it might be wise to retire this account too. But unless the sockpuppet thing is cleared, any user account I create might be considered a sockpuppet and subsequently be blocked.

Decline reason:

The account you give above omits a considerable amount of relevant information, including your history of multiple sockpuppetry. In view of this I cannot see this as a good faith unblock request. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:24, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
