why make a change when the outcome is neglible , the file is the same and the useful differences are not detectable ? Dave Rave (talk) 07:18, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well can I will respond with a retorical question. What difference did you spending half an hour converting commas, [1] etc to a brackets in about 15 articles achieve? The files are the same and the useful differences are not detectable. Rad1x11 (talk) 07:42, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

April 2016[edit]

  • The official website states at the top: 8 & 9 April 2017. Couldn't be any clearer.[2] But as you are in such doubt, I have provided cites. Given the need for it to fit in around planned track maintenance, these dates are locked in at least 12 months in advance, would very much doubt they are making it up. As for {{Infobox annual event}} all very nice, but it doesn't work. Event has been held annually since 1986, so 31 times not 29. So until this can be rectified, the plain text will need to stand. The template does indeed work. The event was first held in 1986, That's year 0. 1987 was year 1, 1988 was year 2 and so on. We calculate ages from the first date something happened, we don't include the year before that as part of its history. While Steamfest may have been held 31 times, it has only been going for 30 years. Surely you don't call the date that you were born your first birthday? Note that the template calculates the age automatically. As of right now it says 29 because the actual switchover from 29 to 30 occurs in another 2 days. --AussieLegend () 10:19, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

3801[edit]

How can you say that 3801 is not a Hunter icon? Every time it is seen in the area it is on the TV news and the front page of local papers. It's about the only "train" that the general population knows and one of the reasons man visit Steamfest. Use of the navbox in the article is appropriate and it should not be removed. --AussieLegend () 06:00, 11 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
