User talk:Raelanes/Esplanade Avenue
For this article, I want to expand on the already existing article for Esplanade Avenue. A lot of important history for this article is lacking. There are also many mansions and interesting topics that could potentially be stated here. The architecture may also be relevant to the article. Esplanade is home to many wealthy people so the history, cultural influences, and value of the homes could be worthwhile to look into. [edit]The structure you've set for yourself is a pretty impressive one. We might need to scale back considering the timing, but the ideas you are considering are nicely thought out. You seem to be doing a great job with the citations, as well, so please keep up the good work. You don't want to have all these subheadings if they are not followed by a decent chunk of information. Having one quick sentence after a heading suggests that much more needs to be said -- or that what is said isn't worthy of its own heading. As we've discussed in class, a lot of this can be fleshed out by slowing down and describing the things you current just mention. The Neighborhoods section, for example, could be four separate paragraphs, one on Esplanade Ridge, one on the Marigny, one on the French Quarter, and one on the Tremé. Linking to the articles on those neighborhoods is good, but you also want to give an overview to keep your reader from feeling the need to leave your article to read a different one.
Great work with the images, but consider, as noted above, saying a bit more in each!
