Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Mini-DIN connector do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Sleddog116 (talk) 12:55, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It was not my intention to add any spam to Wikipedia but I recognize I made a mistake, and I'm sorry. The link I'd like to add is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoom_Corporation. May I proceed with the modification? --Ragnotis (talk) 13:13, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It depends. Is there a specific Zoom Corporation device that has its own article? Because that would be more appropriate than linking to the company's article. It's an internal link, true, but there are still right and wrong ways to do that. (And don't be discouraged - Wikipedia does have quite a learning curve, and everyone makes missteps.) I suspect that you might be connected to Zoom Corporation in some way - I'm not saying that as an accusation, just stating an observation so I can help. I'd suggest you read this guideline; it might answer your questions better than I can. If you're still unclear, I am, of course, willing to answer any other questions you may have. ADDITION - I see the change you made to the article, and I don't see a problem with having it like that. Sleddog116 (talk) 13:23, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thank you. Btw I'm not connected in ANY way with Zoom corporation. I' ve decided to add the informations to the Mini Din 8-pin page because I think it may be useful for someone out there. That's all.
