Request reason:
Please help me, I was inappropriately blocked by someone and all of my edits have been made in earnest good faith. If possible, please issue sanctions against the person who attacked me as a "troll" without any justification for doing so. Rainbowangie 10:46, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Please include a decline or accept reason.
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
the above is not working as instructed it should, my reasoning is as follows:
Please help me, I was inappropriately blocked by someone and all of my edits have been made in earnest good faith. If possible, please issue sanctions against the person who attacked me as a "troll" without any justification for doing so.
Your unblock request
[edit]Are you willing to stop disrupting Wikipedia by removing Speedy Delete tags? If you are contesting these, please do so in an appropriate manner but do not remove them altogether. Regards, Asteriontalk 10:51, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Excuse me but do you even know who Derek Hartley is? He is a famous gay talk show host on Sirius Satellite Radio. I came here to Wikipedia to learn about him and then discovered someone is going around trying to delete everything related to the gay community. That does not mesh well with me and I did nothing wrong, nor did I receive any sort of a warning that I was doing something wrong. If this is how Wikipedia treats people who disagree on what should or shouldn't be deleted then leave the block be. I'll cut my losses early in utter fucking disgust. Rainbowangie 10:55, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Dear Rainbowangie, If you truly believe that these deletions should be contested, please do so in an appropriate manner as for "Appealing speedy deletions": If you object to, and wish to appeal any administrator's deletion of a page because it was based on the speedy deletion criteria, leave a polite notice on their user talk page. If they refuse to restore the page, you may list the page for deletion review. (You can find out who deleted a page by editing the deleted page, then selecting the "deletion log" link.) Regards, Asteriontalk 10:59, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- The first thing you should have tried is adding {{hangon}} to the page, as deleting the speedy deletion request amounts to disruption of Wikipedia. Regards, Asteriontalk 11:01, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
What does this even mean and why should I care? Honestly, did I do something wrong? I left very detailed explanations in my edit comments as suggested! Sorry, but why should I even bother if everything is such a huge convoluted and bureaucratic waste of time??? Good riddance. Rainbowangie 11:03, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I believe that LibearyGay's edits are very peculiar, but he is also a new user and may be overzealous (I will leave a note on his/her talk page) but this does not justify revert wars. I am willing to review your block if you are also willing to give Wikipedia guidelines and policies a go. These may not be perfect but are certainly the best way to avoid disruption and systemic chaos. Asteriontalk 11:17, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
I am willing to unblock you (as long as no other admin disagrees) but please be aware of this:
Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles, as you did before. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:
- Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion notice(s)
- Make your case on the article's talk page.
Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Asteriontalk 11:27, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

That is fine, but I would like my name cleared straight away on something. I did not ever mean to be a nuisance. If anything, I was trying to counteract what I discovered to be a pattern of disruption by someone who I discovered was going along in serial marking things for "speedy deletion" that did not fit their particular view as important, without care or consideration for those who spent time on those articles, or giving those authors any sort of recourse. Even more disturbing was that this person, appeared to be ***targeting*** a specific set of articles which are notable to the gay community. More disturbing yet, when I try to fix this I am stopped dead in my tracks and the person responsible for doing so feels the need add insult to injury by, well, insulting me.
Sorry for being so longwinded, but this has radically changed my perspective on how Wikipedia operates from the inside. Its been a real eye opener I must say. Would I like you to clear my name? Yes, absolutely. Do I plan on contributing to this wiki any longer? I'm really not so sure at this point. Do what you will. Rainbowangie 11:40, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Thank you Asterion for your helpful support throughout this debacle. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 12:20, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Who's attacking whom, my dear...
[edit]Interesting that this account warranted an unblock. I find no such "attacks" anywhere against Rainbowangie by me as referenced above. This is my first posting anywhere on the subject. So, where's the attack? Well, you talk about the Gay community being attacked by me, which is just silly, and you're an individual, not the Gay community. My tagging might not have been spot on accurate with each one, but, some were and the others I've already adjusted. Perhaps I was being a little overzealous as a new user as Asterion suggested.
The "attack" you're refering to must be that you're one of the individuals whose articles I nominated for deletion. I'd bet the milk money you're Derek Hartley since that's the record that was the impetus for you creating this user profile and then trying to undo many articles I touched.
Hartley is also the individual who created the user account Spacuna (a publicly known Internt nic of Hartley) that authored the Hartley article in the first place and made no other edits other than two Hartley specific ones. Wikipedia policy frowns on self-created self-promotional articles. See:Autobiography Rather than lecturing me on policy, perhaps you should take some time yourself and read the policies about what makes an individual notable and worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia. Policy clearly states that being "famous" is not a valid justification. Particularly without any outside references to support such a claim. So, do some homework and make this article adhere to the policy of Biographies of living persons and you won't be challenged by me or anyone else. LibearyGay 20:12, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
