Ransom Miller, III is the founder and chairman of Project GiveBack, a national community service organization whose mission is to provide a vehicle for corporate firms and young professionals to give back to the communities in which they work and live. This mission is accomplished by implementing programs that benefit less fortunate individuals and families with a special focus on children. The major program of Project Give Back the annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution, in which the organization provides food baskets and clothing to low income families. Since 1995 Project GiveBack has distributed over 1,500 food baskets across the United States. In 2007, over 600 individuals volunteered in shifts of 5:00am, 6:00am and 8:00am gathered to distribute over 450 food baskets to needy families in the DC Area. Other programs coordinated by Project GiveBack include, The Children's Toy Drive, which provides toys for children in low income families; The Computer Sponsor Program, which has assisted schools and community organizations in the acquisition of over 125 Computers; and the Children’s Easter Celebration, which exposes over 75 children yearly to the Christian meaning of Easter while providing a safe and fun activity for the less fortunate children.

Ransom has a commitment to community service and works hard to impact his community. In 1996, he in partnership with Bethlehem Star Baptist Church, to establish The Ransom Miller, III Scholarship Fund, a college scholarship for graduating high school seniors in Oklahoma City. Since its inception, it has awarded over $20,000.00 in scholarship monies. Ransom is a member of the Refuge Baptist Assembly where he currently serves as the Stewardship & Finance Ministry Leader and serves in the Deacon Ministry. He is also an active member of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. Miller has served on the Executive, Social, and Social Action Committees and held the office of Chapter Reporter and Chapter Webmaster.

Ransom is a member of the Washington, DC chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants and served on the board of directors for six years in various capacities including Corporate Membership Chairperson, Community Service Chair, and Webmaster. In 1998 he was named Member of the Year. In that same year, Ransom served as the Greater Washington Area UNCF Corporate Dress Down Day Chairman. As Chairman of this event, he and a dedicated team of KPMG employees coordinated a fundraising event in which 15 other local firms participated.

Ransom is a Director at Fannie Mae where he is responsible for the REMIC Payment Validation Process and MBS Taxes. Prior to his current role, Ransom was a Senior Manager in the KPMG Structured Finance Group. In his 11 years at KPMG he served in several leadership roles including being the local chairperson of the KPMG Network of African Americans Affinity Group and member on the initial Diversity Council. For ten years, Ransom spearheaded the KPMG African American History Month Lecture Series in the Washington, DC Area which featured several prominent African American leaders. Currently, he is the President of Fannie Mae’s African American Ancestry Employee Resource Group.

Ransom resides in Washington, DC with his wife HarDisha and son Ransom IV.
