Notability has been established by your links, but the article needs work. Some things you should do:

  • 1) Use the <ref> </ref>tags to put inline footnotes for all of the facts you assert, citing the relevent docments that verify the facts. Wikipedia is not about original research.
  • 2) Find a better category. I stuck him in the "scholars" category, but hunt around for one like "middle-eastern scholars" or "experts in middle eastern history" or something like that. I am sure there is one out there.
  • 3) Wikify the article. Divide it into sections. Put more (referenced of course) information into it. Link to other relevent articles.

For an example of a good biographical article, with sources and everything, check out: Ike_Altgens. Its been a featured article and is well written and formatted. Click on "edit the page". Don't actually make any changes. Just look at how a good article is written and coded in the wiki markup language, and use it to improve your article. I will keep an eye on it to see how it goes. If you have any more information, please ask again. --Jayron32 03:35, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
