Is this the page you're talking about? I think I found the edit you're talking about, namely this one. I checked it out, and I'm also stumped as to why Dp67 considers it vandalism. I'm not too familiar with Ice Hockey, so I may not be able to help you out as to why he thought it to be vandalism.
However, he used Twinkle to revert your edits. I use twinkle, and the button to revert an edit as vandalism is right next to the button to revert a good edit. My guess is that the clicked on the wrong button. Either way, he meant to revert your edits.
The Best thing I can suggest is that you leave a message on his talk page with a link to the edit that he made, and ask him why he reverted it. You can also do it on the Articles Talk page (Talk:Sean Avery), but I'd suggest asking him personally, since it'd be faster. Just remember to introduce yourself and mention that you were User:69.201.182.30. Otherwise, he'll be wondering who you are.
Hope that helped. Sorry I couldn't help you further. If you need any assistance later, you can always contact me. Good Luck. Happy editing. Sniperz11talk|edits 04:59, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- P.S. When you contact him , mention that a similar format exists on the Brendan Shanahan page. That usually makes people agree with you. You can also try putting the same edit, but in a different way, for e.g. split the table into different tables, like pre-NHL career, and NHL career. That I think will be acceptable for most editors. - Your message to him looks fine. Dont worry... you can contact me on my talk page. Thats the best way to get me. BTW, why dont you create your own user page. Its a good way to inform other wikipedians about yourself. Also gives a good experience with editing pages, since you can do anything to your userpage without worries. - Hi, I apologize for misunderstanding your edits. The reason that I thought it was vandalism was because there were several edits from your IP previously that day, followed by a revert and a warning from another user, at a glance it looked like cut and paste from another article. There were also no edit summaries on any of your submissions, please try to use them in the future it helps everyone understand your intent as well as helping you keep notes of your own edits. (I learned the hard way too..) Again, I apologize, I am human and I do make mistakes.. Welcome to Wikipedia.
