considering your posts public domain[edit]

You mentioned on Talk:6.5 Grendel that you consider all your wikipedia posts public domain. Unfortunately there is a disclaimer everytime you post that says "You agree to license your contributions under the GFDL." That is definitely not the same thing as public domain. You might want to be aware of that. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 16:59, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, they'd be public domain on the forums. I'm just letting you know that if you were to recopy them onto wikipedia, they'd be subsequently subject to GFDL. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 03:20, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, response posted at your talk previously.Reginhild 16:28, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Hey Reginhild, you might want to take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources, it's a guide on how to properly cite references for articles. To be listed in the references section, things don't need to be strictly online sources, and they can still be footnoted. You might find it particularly useful for the 6.5 Grendel, where it looks like the pages used refer to very specific claims that want to be footnoted. --Eyrian 18:57, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You made reference that the article was being accused as being a copyvio, and now the talk page says it has permission (link to OTRS). Do you still require advocacy then, or is everything good? -Royalguard11(Talk·Desk·Review Me!) 21:35, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Issue resolved, author of material had given permission in writing online and was surprised at copyvio accusations, noted on AMA request pageReginhild 16:30, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania in Atlanta![edit]

Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!

P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 09:07, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"50 Beowulf"[edit]

Um... Okay, well it took me a while to figure out you were talking about an image, and then I went and checked it right after you wrote me and found that the image had been restored with better source information. Not sure what you want me to do... Could you include a link to what you're talking about (deleted or not) if you can remember what it is? Grandmasterka 21:46, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
