I'm glad you're making corrections for the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac article. You should add more opening dates for the original stations, because I have a feeling that a lot of the ones that currently serve the VRE Fredericksburg Line weren't originally RF&P stations at all. ----DanTD (talk) 21:23, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

It's a work in progress - part of the difficulty is narrowing down content to put in here without being too detailed or overbroad, while at the same time not negating or infringing on existing publications, either by individuals or the Historical Society. You are correct that many of the VRE stops were not original RF&P stations; the existing ones in Alexandria, Quantico and Fredericksburg I believe are the only 3 that existed prior. The structures at most of the rest were being built during the RF&P's last days as an indepndent entity, as VRE service did not begin until after its demise, even as CSX inherited the contract VRE signed with the RF&P.
