January 2011[edit]

Regarding these edits, if you want to create a new article, create in the mainspace, not in an existing category page. See Wikipedia:Your first article. --Neptune 123 (talk) 05:34, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I noticed you keep trying to add content to Category:Industrialists. This is a category page and not an article. If you want to create a brand new article, please go here and follow the directions. Do not keep adding to Category:Industrialists. Thanks and welcome to Wikipedia. Feel free to let me know if I can help you in any way with this. Zachlipton (talk) 07:30, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please use the Article Wizard to create a new article. Thank you! -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 09:13, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Adding text to "Category:Industrialists"[edit]

Hi, RetiredPillmaker
What I want to point out is that wp:Category pages are 'populated' automatically. It shows any page that is categorised with the [[Category:categoryname]] 'tag'. Putting text that belongs on an article page is not the right way to do it. Constantly reverting to return your text is also not a good idea, see 3RR which deals with "The three-revert rule".
I think you need to read the links in the Welcome section to familiarise yourself with article creation. Regards, 220.101 talk\Contribs 09:34, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sherman and Ulster Limited requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Travelbird (talk) 10:20, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
