Hello, I'm Yoshi24517. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 21:13, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Bad Cop/Bad Cop. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 21:18, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Bad Cop/Bad Cop shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 21:22, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing conflicts of interest

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Bad Cop/Bad Cop, and I noticed that your username, "Revivalagency", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 21:21, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Many people come to edit Wikipedia with mistaken ideas as to the nature of Wikipedia, and in perfectly good faith do things which are not in line with Wikipedia policies, and unfortunately you seem to have done so. The account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to Wikipedia's content policy, and both your editing history and your username indicate that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of this page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use, and "Your reason here" with the reason why you think unblocking your account will benefit Wikipedia.

Your new username will need to meet our username policy. The reason you give will need to make it clear to an administrator that you understand the reason for your block and that you will make the same kind of mistake again and also give an indication of how your future editing will be different from what you have done. To save wasting time asking for a name that's already been taken, go to Special:CentralAuth, type your name in the box, and click on the button. If the name is already in use you will see some details about the account with that name, and if it isn't in use you'll see a red message telling you there is no global account with that name.

If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by first reading guide to appealing blocks and then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below. JBW (talk) 21:45, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
