WP:BLP request for comment

[edit]

The article Horst Mahler was previously deleted for WP:BLP concerns. (You can see it in the Google cache here.)

I have recreated the article here in my userspace using thorough sourcing, some of which I researched myself and some of which came from the German article of the same name. I used the German article as a guide, and translated some of the material, but it is largely rewritten.

If my efforts have successfully addressed the BLP concerns -- that is, if there are no more significant BLP concerns to this version -- I will move this article into the mainspace.

If there are continued concerns, please let me know so I can address them before moving the article into the mainspace to avoid running afoul of deletion policy.

Pursuant to the GFDL, though, I would discourage anyone from making edits directly to my version of the article for the simple reason that I plan to copy-paste it, not wiki-move it, into the mainspace because I have used this subpage before for unrelated topics. As soon as I've moved it, go nuts.

Thank you very much. I look forward to your responses. - Revolving Bugbear (formerly Che Nuevara) 22:49, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So where is it? JodyB Roll, Tide, Roll 15:45, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article is a significant improvement over the deleted version which, as an admin, I was able to peruse. You have added many citations and reduced the POV material. The only problem, it would seem, is the actual references themselves. Since they are print (many of them) I cannot review them. But if they say what you say they say then the article should be fine. This is my initial thought, I will look closer. JodyB Roll, Tide, Roll 17:40, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response. However, all of the sources I've cited so far are web sources, which I've cited with {{cite web}}, which I guess would be why the look like print sources. Should that be changed?
A number of them, though, are in German. However, I think I got enough English sources in there that it's not a problem. Revolving Bugbear 21:16, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
