If the information is correct, then what does it matter who wrote it? I read the documentation and it doesn't say you cannot create articles, it just say it is discouraged. Seems pretty vague. Either you can or you can't. Maybe is what causes conflicts. But if I do not put up the information, who will? Someone has to initiate the data to put on the page. I think that rather than delete information without telling someone, discuss it. If this is in response to QuiteUnusual complaining, he could have offered to help me rather than just delete with no real reason. I am trying to contribute, but I am new. Other people on the page offered help rather than just delete stuff. So what now? The COI Statement will stay on the page forever? How do I get it removed?

It matters who wrote it because there may be issues with tone. The tag is up there until independent reviewers look at the page and determine that article is written from neutral point of view and cites independent sources wherever possible. —C.Fred (talk) 16:39, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

Copyright violation in ABC Fine Wine & Spirits

Wikipedia doesn't allow material from other web sites to be copied into its articles. The information in the intro and the history section of ABC Fine Wine & Spirits appeared to have come directly from the copyrighted corporate web site's history section, and must therefore be removed.

You can say the same thing, but not as a direct copy. You also need some reliable third-party sources for the information. Typically, the history section of a corporate web site isn't the best place to get that anyway - nor is a press release from the company or a partner of the company. Proposed deletion of ABC Fine Wine & Spirits

The article ABC Fine Wine & Spirits has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

G7 CSD declined. Too many other edits to be eligible. But the original author wants it gone, so giving it a chance at PROD.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Not Worth Having

Everyone is a critic, rather than a contributor. Everyone talks about the integrity of the information at the same time everyone has anonymous user names. It seems that everyone wants to stifle information, unless of course it is information they want to see.

It may look that way, but it isn't necessarily so. In fact, this article is getting the benefit of the doubt here - it wasn't speedily deleted when it first arrived, or even now after it has been shortened. It is true that copyrighted information was removed - it has nothing to do with truth, it has to do with copyright law. And, yes, a section that was essentially advertising what you sell was removed - there are many other sites for that type of thing. But look at what was kept - things that are verifiable, and aren't just advertising. I spent an hour looking for mentions in newspapers (not a copy of the corporate press release that goes out when a new store is opened), profiles in business journals (not ones that simply publish the company profile from the web site), and mentions of the chain in something other than partner's press releases about doing work for ABC, but I didn't come up with anything. That doesn't mean there aren't any, but I hit my personal limit on trying to help this article. If you really want to let this attempt at the article die, the best thing to do is nothing - it should go away after the seven day timer runs out. If you want try to keep it, then find something that isn't advertising to talk about, find a usable reference, improve the article, and remove the proposed deletion tag. But, if the only reason for this article is that all the other cool kids have one, then you are right, it really isn't worth having. Generic1139 (talk) 15:40, 26 May 2015 (UTC)

You somehow think you are some Wikipedia god above all those that are just lowly little surfs. I tried to provide information. If you don't want the information, then just remove the page. I am sure if it was information about Harry Potter, everyone would be contributing to it. Almost sounds communist if you ask me. Only the Wikipedia gods can deem what is and what is not good enough for the readers to read. How do I know you are not the competition try to stifle the information. I provided dozens of references.

Last, how do I delete my account? I do not want to be associated with Wikipedia anymore.

However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. What about someone who sounds like a little tattle-tail? I removed it because I do not want to be associated anymore with Wikipedia or the article. And QuiteUnusual sounds like a little tattle-tail bitch with with comment about "Oh LOOK here at his comment that he made" He says he works for the company. I have discussed it with the team and we want this site removed. We do not want our company associated with Wikipedia.
