Speedy deletion of John Doyle (guitarist)
[edit]A tag has been placed on John Doyle (guitarist) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. §FreeRangeFrog 18:34, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you.

The next time you remove Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Peter Fleet (talk) 13:40, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
I feel that the above tag is a bit hasty as it would appear that you had no previous warnings and may not have realised that what you were doing was wrong - consquently in my eyes it did not assume good faith. I hope it has not put you off editing wikipedia. Dpmuk (talk) 23:00, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit]I noticed that you created Iwcs a Doyle, John Doyle (guitarist) and Iwan "Iwcs" Roberts which are currently being discussed for deletion. Personally I suspect that at the least the band may be notable and that reliable sources could be found to prove this, although it's likely that many of these may be in Welsh and difficult to locate (especially for a non-Welsh speaker like me who knows nothing about the topic). Can I suggest you read WP:N (also the related WP:MUSIC) and WP:RS and see if you can find and reliable sources that show notability. If you do this then the pages are likely to be kept. As I say the bands article suggests to me they're notable (especially the chart run and the award) but without reliable sources for this it's a mott point. Feel free to posy on my talk page here if you require any help or assistance. Dpmuk (talk) 22:58, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
