Question from LeonaLeeSykes (18:29, 22 April 2024)

Hello Rkieferbaum. I would like to add a coroner's report to a suicide on the deadly incidents section on the Burj Khalifa page. I have the document. Could I use this as a reference or should I use mention of it from a newspaper report. Thank you. --LeonaLeeSykes (talk) 18:29, 22 April 2024 (UTC)

@LeonaLeeSykes: hello there! Citing the document itself, if you have access to it directly, would be problematic. But if it is publicly accessible or if it has been mentioned by an independent and reliable source, then, by all means, you should cite the information that was replicated there. Does that solve your problem? Cheers! Rkieferbaum (talk) 18:33, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
Thank you so much Rkieferbaum. I will try that. LeonaLeeSykes (talk) 16:24, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
Would I be able to reference emails sent from a government body confirming that the information that my daughter died from the observation deck was received from the CID Dubai? LeonaLeeSykes (talk) 16:43, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
@LeonaLeeSykes: hi there. I'm so sorry for not replying you sooner. I didn't realize you had written twice. In any case, I'm sorry for your loss. Do you still need assistance on that topic? You can, in theory, cite correspondence through Template:Cite letter. It can be a little delicate to cite it if you're the only person who has access to it. Would you care to share more about the topic (which article you're editing, etc.)? Rkieferbaum (talk) 20:22, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for coming back to me Rkieferbaum. The article I'm referring to is on the Burj Khalifa page - deadly incidents and my daughter's suicide. Subsequent to my contacting you I have been communicating with Andy the Grump and I now accept that there's no more I can add to the article as the government of Dubai's denial on the location of Laura's death has been disproved. And how could they retract such a big lie so it will just remain a lie on their part?
Thank you and all the best to you.
