Information icon Hello, I'm Jeraphine Gryphon. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Mail storage, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 19:56, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 19:57, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jeraphine, This page was initiated by a few startups who where creating a new market for mail-order self-storage. we have no association, and the reference to the association should perhaps be removed. I put the link to Ship2Storage in external links because I didn't want the page to be cluttered with links to companies. How should this be handled? If company links are NOT permitted, then please let me know.

Also, how do companies such as Apple establish their page? or lesser companies such as Advisory Board? Are companies allowed to make pages by themselves? Is company size the factor that determines if they get a page?

Thanks for policing. Rnemana (talk) 19:43, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No one is allowed to promote their own interests on Wikipedia. Not even Apple employees. We write about Apple because it's a notable company. You can read here how we define notability: Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies).
Adding links to your company in general articles like Mail storage is considered spamming. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 20:03, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
