User talk:Roland.k.a
A tag has been placed on Comparison of webmail clients, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Bonadea (talk) 08:01, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- It is not a good idea to create placeholders in article space, because they will be removed (not by me, but by an administrator). As long as the article is "under construction" it's better to create it in a subpage of your user page, which will allow you and any other contributors to work on it without pesky editors tagging it for deletion (provided you don't violate the user page rules).
- Other good policies to be aware of when creating this kind of article concern original research, neutrality and external links. And make sure everything is sourced. Good luck, and have fun! :-) --Bonadea (talk) 08:41, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your edit to Wikipedia, but sadly we can't accept articles where they just link to another website, where there is a conflict of interest, or where there is original research. Additionally, if you were to copy the content from the said source, that would also likely be a copyright violation. Please feel welcome to continue to try and improve the encyclopedia though.
