Your Article[edit]

Hi there,

I noticed the recent cleanup work you have done on your own article (and the earlier complete overhaul you engineered) - this is against Wikipedia policy which dictates that one shouldn't edit an article about oneself in most cases.

Is there a remedy for my violation of Wikipedia policy? I don't wish to be a scofflaw here. I've worked for newspapers and magazines a good part of my career, and I am accustomed to editors who examine my filings thoughtfully, do basic confirmation, then send it to the fact checkers, then to the legal department, then make needed changes based on those findings or call me for more information, and I see it in the next edition. If I have questions or need advice about future style, content, etc. I get good solid advice back and in substantial detail. There doesn't seem to be any system in Wikipedia for that kind of care with articles - there doesn't seem to be anybody here taking editorial responsibility for care and feeding of contributors. I donate work on other profiles here and always take the time to add explanation in my talk page edits where someone needs it. If I'm missing something, or if that is some kind of sanctified rule in the encyclopedia world, please let me know. I can cope. But I'm also a bit confused and out of my metier. I recall that Britannica used to run articles on Big Issues by the genius pushing the Big Issue, and even signed, which has fallen out of style. I'm not trying to make trouble here.
