I have, with considerable misgivings, rendered your recent changes to the article temporarily invisible to the reader. I am, as a devotee and student of Fauré literature, well aware of the name Roy Howat, and if you are he you will find yourself cited extensively in the article on the Piano music of Gabriel Fauré, on which your opinion would be most gratefully received here, or wherever else you liked to give it. Nevertheless, Wikipedia has its rules, and the two relevant ones here are, first, that the lead should be just a summary of the main text, and in general nothing should be in the lead that is not enlarged on in the body of the article, and, secondly, that any statement should be backed with a citation from a reliable printed or online source.

As I don't know how often you frequent diesen heil'gen Hallen, I am taking the liberty of emailing you a copy of this note. Tim riley (talk) 14:09, 4 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fauré Pavane

[edit]

If by any happy chance you are visiting Wikipedia you will find your name invoked in a discussion at Talk:Piano music of Gabriel Fauré about whether the piano version came before the orchestral. If you care to look in it will be esteemed a favour. Tim riley (talk) 19:51, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

COI

[edit]

Hello, Roy, remember me (or, more likely, my father's piano)? Good to see you around. If you intend to edit articles about yourself, or subjects with which you are closely connected, there are a few rules you need to be aware of, as much for your own benefit as anyone else's. Please do take some time to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Best wishes --NSH001 (talk) 20:43, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
