User talk:Rurik the Varangian/Robert Temple cleanup
Thanks for the good work on Robert Temple, just the sort of cleanup which is just as important as starting a new article.
As you visit the science articles, you might also clean up the citations of Needham, starting with the correct spelling: Civilisation, not Civilization. Needham and Cambridge University Press are British! To be sure, Wikipedia has a redirect, but it never does any harm to be correct, especially since the wrong spelling might prevent readers from finding the volume if they do an online or library catalogue search.
Second, and more important, the citations need to be to the original publication, not the Taiwan Caves reprint, and to give the author of the particular volume, not just the volume and part number. For instance, Vol V Pt One needs to acknowledge the scholar who wrote it: Vol. 5, Part 1 Paper and Printing Tsien Tsuen-Hsuin 1985.
These, as you know, are conveniently listed at Science and Civilisation in China.
Needham's contribution is already gargantuan without stealing credit from other scholars in a way he would not have countenanced.
All the best,
