Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "SGNWR", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username, by completing this form, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Daniel Case (talk) 22:44, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User Name[edit]

The user name SGNWR does not violate your terms of use policy as it represents an employee of USFWS who works at this Refuge. SGNWR (talk) 23:06, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:ORGNAME: "Usernames that unambiguously represent the name of a company, group, institution or product ... are not permitted because they are considered promotional". Also it could be seen as a role account, since it's possible that another employee could use it down the line, and we tend to frown on that sort of thing since for legal reasons every edit needs to be theoretically traceable to a single person.
Since your edits have been useful, and since I live not so far away, and since I did a lot of work on this article a long time ago (see the images) and still have vague notions of someday submitting it for good article status at least, I'd like to see you keep editing. If you put in for a username change, to something maybe like "X at SGNWR", I think that could work. Daniel Case (talk) 05:45, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Name change.[edit]

Ok, that seems like a fair compromise. How about Scott at SGNWR? How do I go about changing it?
