From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In general, you first major attempt at contributing to an article, Elliott Company was very thorough and well sourced. However Wikipedia has additional standards that have to be met. We are writing an encyclopedia, and as such articles need to be written from a completely neutral point of view (called NPOV). Your contributions were not NPOV. They contained numerous peacock terms such as a company would use to describe its own products on its own site, but which are inappropriate here. The other principle of wikipedia is that it is cumulative--that each addition is built upon prior ones. As such, it was not acceptable to delete or completely over-write my earlier contributions concerning Elliott's role in producing US submarines. In keeping with this principle I retained all content you contributed (minus the POV and peacock terms) with the exception of the blurb on the Ebara company itself (which, I'd suggest, should be worked into an Ebara company article if you would choose to write one).KevinCuddeback (talk) 18:43, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
