Hiya, SUJR14!

[edit]

Howdy, SUJR14. I'm Theo, your Online Ambassador for the New Media Technology and Communication online Wikipedia course, and I'll be here to help if you run into any problems. I've left a welcome message here that has some useful info, including my email address. Give it a look, and let me know if you need anything! —Theopolisme (talk) 12:30, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, SUJR14. I'm Yjx2ic35 (Conner Baldwin), a Campus Ambassador (in training). While your Jerry Uelsmann is a reasonable Reference, the Duloil reference is only a 6th form student in the UK. You need better sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yjx2ic35 (talkcontribs) 20:33, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback on your work

[edit]

Not much development of the original stub.

Among things you need to fix:

  • Review Wikipedia training content on citation & Reference guidelines
  • Sections on History and Techniques are lacking sources - attribute all information to sources, please
  • [edit]See also and [edit]References are not acceptable - please clean up the stub per Wikipedia formatting guidelines
  • insert hyperlinks to other relevant Wikipedia content, e.g., dodging, burning, Masking, Jerry Uelsmann

Feedback

[edit]

Insufficient development of content since the last assessment. Please consider adding more content before 5 pm on Mon, 18 Mar. The following content & grammar issues may also need to be resolved:

  • References do not follow Wikipedia guidelines
  • Consider adding a "Further Reading" section
  • Consider hyperlinking the following terms to their respective Wikipedia entries: dodging, burning, toning, enlargers, Lincoln, Calhoun, JPEG, RAW, red-eye removal, Photoshop
  • Fix grammar: Subject-verb disagreement: "Dodging and Burning is"
  • Grammar: "Dodging is holds back exposure"
  • This sentence appears twice in the same article: "Burning is when the image receives more exposure so the image can darken. Just like dodging, burning can be done by hand or by using objects"
  • Grammar: "Burning is a bit longer process"

Help us improve the Wikipedia Education Program

[edit]

Hi SUJR14! As a student editor on Wikipedia, you have a lot of valuable experience about what it's like to edit as a part of a classroom assignment. In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it's extremely helpful to hear from real student editors about their challenges, successes, and support needs. Please take a few minutes to answer these questions by clicking below. (Note that the responses are posted to a public wiki page.) Thanks!
