Hi S Glenn,

Welcome to Wikipedia. Actually, this is not the welcome I would like to give you; I would rather like to thank you for your first edit. It is, however, to the best of my knowledge, wrong. The theme of the scarlet tanager appears only in the scherzo of the quartet, not in the first movement - at least that is what sources say. Of course, if I saw the tanager motif glaring out at me in the first movement, I would have left your edit, even if no published source had noticed it before. But for the life of me, I can't find it in the first movement. If you can point it out to me, I will gladly restore your edit.

In any case, don't be discouraged by the fact that I have reverted your edit. Keep trying. But bear in mind that it is always best to rely on published sources. Your own memory is generally not considered an acceptable source here, no matter how good it (your memory, that is) is. Regards, --Ravpapa (talk) 05:49, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
