Welcome...

Hello, Sabu030, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

You might save yourself alot of wasted effort by reading the links above. Your article Hindu primer will surely be deleted because it's an essay and includes WP:OR. I reverted your change to the Hinduism template because the community decided quite strongly to keep the Hindu swastika in that template. Also, you can't link to images outside of Wikipedia. You should learn how to upload images, and the rules for using images on Wikipedia. There's alot to learn, but the links above will help, if you take the time to study the content there.

Again, welcome! ॐ Priyanath talk 18:21, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Changing Hinduism templates[edit]

Please don't change Hinduism templates without discussing it with other editors first. You can do that here. The issue of the swastika has already been discussed ad infinitum, and the strong consensus was to keep it, since it's the most universal symbol used in Hinduism. Also be aware that this template appears on hundreds of pages, so any changes need to be well thought out, and approved by others. ॐ Priyanath talk 18:40, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
