Lead

  • I really like how you reorganized the lead, it looks cleaner and it is easy to follow
  • maybe update to also mention the standard solution instead of just titration since you’re going way more into detail now
  • your table in the end used g/ml, maybe add that to the units section in the lead

Content

  • Since you are mentioning matrix effects and internal standards, maybe also mention standard addition and link the page
  • When talking about the standard solutions, maybe add something about the accuracy of the number. For example, how you need a high-accuracy way to measure the amount that you transfer over (micropipette or volumetric pipette) to make sure you still know the concentration of the new standard solution and a graduated cylinder would not be appropriate
  • I liked that you added the example of the standard solutions table, all of my suggestions would have their own page so I don’t think you have to go into more detail. Good job

Tone and Balance

  • content added covers areas that were neglected before
  • Neutral and well-supported

References

  • Added two books, they are from 2000-2010 but still contain relevant information and are not outdated
  • added a website as a citation, unless you cannot find the information anywhere else I would try to avoid using this

Need citations for:

  • spectroscopy/Beer’s law to determine the concentration
  • matrix effects/ internal standard

Organization

  • the readability of the article improved a lot. Splitting the text into more sections and rewording bulky paragraphs helped a lot.

Images

  • I like that you included the table for the standard solutions, I can’t think of anything else that doesn't already have a page to add.
  • Label your table Table 1, even if it is the only one, maybe someone will add more stuff.

Overall

  • great work, I like the new organization of the sections and all the info about standard solution preparation added.
  • Just some tunning left to do, edit the lead a bit to include the changes you made, add one or two references, and maybe add the content I suggested
  • overall it was a solid improvement of the article

Thank you for taking the time to review my article!
I agree with all of your criticisms, and have taken the suggestions into account when improving the article. As you mentioned, I have added a small sentence on standard addition, and a mention of volumetric pipette within the article. I have also added new citations in the suggested areas for spectroscopy and matrix effects. The table has been labelled as "Table 1" as well.
Again, I am very grateful for your meaningful feedback. Thank you! Sackboy27 (talk) 04:45, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
