New article

[edit]

Glad to see you started it. Now you get credit for starting an article. I've added the Under Construction template, so that other editors give it a break until it's ready, and are encouraged to contribute.

  • To be able to list the band's appearances, and historical details, you'll need reliable sources for each entry. Use newspaper, newspaper blog, magazine, or magazine blog. We can't refer to the Facebook page; it's just not notable or WP:Reliable.
  • Expand the history as much as possible. Historical info about the music, their musical instruments or training are ok.
  • Personal details are NOT PERMITTED. There's a very strict policy called WP:Biographies of living persons which prohibits revealing any details of a non-prominent person's life. Revealing ANY personal info could bring down the hammer, erasing the article, and its entire history. If you don't mind, I'll keep the article in my watchlist, and check in from time to time.
  • For those quotes, try to find the exact title & place on the web, or exact book or magazine it came from, including date, author, and exact article title. I've added an example.
  • Don't use WP:PROMO or WP:PUFFERY words (except in quotes of people), and get down to a WP:NPOV neutral tone as quickly as possible.

More interviews with notable music reporters will help establish notability.

Don't be disappointed if it takes months or a year for the band to become WP:N notable enough for Wikipedia.
