Introduction:

Chandravilas Confectioanry was started in 1959 at Thanjavur/Tanjore. Tanjore, the Rice bowl of TamilNadu, is place well known for art and architecture. Chandravilas was started as a Syrup manufacturing company and latter moved onto produce varieties of food articles.

Syrup manufacture:

Syrup are manufactured from sugar. Sugar is heated till it reaches the liquid state and required colours and flavours are added. Syrups are available in variety of tastes and flavours such as Pineapple, Grapes, Vettiveru/nannari (hemidesmus indicus) and Mixed Fruit.
