Welcome!

Hello, SciFiDragon, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

To the boilerplate welcome above I'll add that I've seen you in a couple of the articles I've worked on; are you interested in working on sf magazine articles? I'm gradually working my way through them and would be happy to help with any references I have. Mike Christie (talk) 13:46, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there and thanks for the welcome, it’s appreciated. To answer your question, yes I am interested on working on SF magazines – Past and Present. Also would like to delve a bit on the stories, artists and writers. A good idea to work together and help where we can.
At present I’m just cleaning articles up and trying to put a little structure to them. I see that some editors are on here all day every day, which won’t be me as I’ve got other things to do as well, but this Easter I had some “me” time and so the Wikipedia has been graced with my presence. When I’m on here I’ll work through the articles and if you want a certain project working on, let me know and I’ll help when I’m on here.--SciFiDragon (talk) 13:59, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good to me. I go back and forth between medieval history articles and sf magazines; I'm currently working on the former so it might be a while till I get to the magazines again. I do have a pretty good reference library for sf magazine history so let me know if you need anything. If you're curious, Amazing Stories, Wonder Stories, Imagination, If, Beyond Fantasy Fiction and Fantastic Universe are the articles I've put the most into. I expect we'll run into each other at some point.... Mike Christie (talk) 14:11, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I look forward to it. I doubt you'll find me around the medieval history articles, but certainly around the SF ones. It's good to know you!--SciFiDragon (talk) 14:41, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was pleased to see this article return as a watcher of Adventure Inc.. He had his own article once before but it was deleted before I edited wikipedia. I do not know the reason, family maybe?? REVUpminster (talk) 17:15, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I was looking up Adventure Inc and saw the red link for the actor, which I thought strange, and sad, for I knew he had died at such a young age. There should be a wiki article, hence I created it and hopefully we can expand on it.--SciFiDragon (talk) 11:50, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • I see you have rated Adventure Inc "C" on the talk page not that I am experienced enough to rate anything. I did most of it including the episode guide which I specialize in if you look at my user page I have done many. I don't know what country you are from but my favourite is Queen of Swords, a stablemate of Adventure Inc., which I have done the most additions together with some help from Taram re the stunt doubles (I think he was in love with Roberta Brown) and court cases. REVUpminster (talk) 19:20, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It is actually a Start class, the main reason being reliable sources. I am going to help by putting in some references and this will fit it nicely with the C class. Now if we can put more information about the filming, actors, locations etc we can get it to B class, but it will need references for all this info. I fit usually more into the Sci-Fi articles (bet you hadn’t guessed) but Adventure Inc. is close and has a slight sci-fi to it (the reason I was looking it up on the wiki in the first place), though it is mostly supernatural (not my area of knowledge).--SciFiDragon (talk) 10:08, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • You might be interested in this site for Adventure Inc. [1] and as a scifi fan Torchwood season three [2]

that I did almost single handed. REVUpminster (talk) 15:48, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not bad. Will work on the Adventure inc. providing new info with references.--SciFiDragon (talk) 13:45, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just put the info and refs in, so it's well in the C class now.--SciFiDragon (talk) 14:13, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re the salvage vessel the Vast Explorer, it was only used on the Canadian filmed episodes on Lake Ontario whatever the location was in the world. In the UK no boat was used and in the French filmed episodes the motor cruiser Janus II was used. REVUpminster (talk) 23:36, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WikiMagazine Project

[edit]

Hi SciFiDragon, I noticed you are a member of the WikiProject Magazine, which I have joined and will contribute in the future. I have created a new page for an online magazine Bloginity which was up for speedy deletion several times for several reasons. I was hoping to get your voice on this matter and help me get the page published as it contains quality and informative information for anyone who is interested in reading about the background, and foundation. I am looking forward to your reply, and hoping that you would share your voice in this article entry. (71.190.254.239 (talk) 21:19, 20 January 2011 (UTC)).[reply]
